As he matured, he eventually attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated in 1963 at the age of 18. This likely caused Norman to further turn his attention to where he was valued: school. His father, who was a failed businessman and inventor, would regularly abuse his wife and son. His personal life, however, was less rewarding. His teachers noted how his brilliance outshone that of the other kids and he managed to skip a few grades.

He is a rich industrialist and the founder of Oscorp Technologies, while he is the alter ego of Norman Osborn, the founder and CEO of Oscorp and the father of Harry Osborn, who befriended Peter Parker.
